Walter S. Wyman

Walter Scott Wyman, 1874 to 1942, was an American electrical-industry executive who co-founded the utility Central Maine Power with Harvey Doane Eaton in 1899, beginning operations from a former Oakland Electric Light Company building on the Messalonskee Stream in Maine. Before founding the company he left Tufts University during his junior year to become general manager of the Waterville and Fairfield Railway and Electric Company. His son, William Frizzell Wyman, later became president of Central Maine Power and built the Wyman Power Station in Yarmouth, Maine, in 1959, named in his father's honor.
