Energy Carrier

Manufactured or processed substances, principally hydrogen, that store and move energy produced from another primary source rather than being a primary source themselves. Belongs here: any substance the International Energy Agency and the Energy Information Administration classify as a carrier rather than a source, produced by consuming energy from elsewhere such as electrolysis or reforming rather than extracted or harvested directly. Does not belong here: any source that supplies primary energy directly from nature.
