Energy Tower (Downdraft)

The energy tower, also called a downdraft energy tower, is a device proposed for producing electrical power. The concept originated with Phillip Carlson and was expanded by Technion professor Dan Zaslavsky. An energy tower sprays water into hot air at the top of a tall tower; the water cools the air, causing it to fall through the tower, and the falling air drives a turbine at the tower base to generate electricity.
