This dimension sorts energy organizations by their basic type, an intergovernmental agency, a trade association or a research institute. Wikipedia notes that organizations and institutions "can be synonymous," though some are treated as "a narrow version of institutions." Browsing by organization type keeps organizations of the same basic kind grouped together.
