Solar Cooker

Solar Conversion

A solar cooker, also called a solar oven, is a device that uses the energy of direct sunlight to heat, cook or pasteurize food and drinks. Many solar cookers in use today are inexpensive, low-tech devices, though some are as powerful and as costly as a conventional stove, and large advanced designs can cook for hundreds of people at once. Because they burn no fuel and cost nothing to run, many nonprofit organizations promote their use worldwide to cut fuel costs and air pollution and to help slow deforestation and desertification.
