One of the largest concentrated solar power complexes in the world, on the edge of the Sahara near Ouarzazate, Morocco, combining parabolic trough and solar tower plants with molten salt storage plus a photovoltaic stage, around 580 megawatts in all. Its stored heat lets it generate for hours after sunset, the ability that distinguishes concentrated solar from photovoltaics.
