CAP1400

Nuclear Reactor

The CAP1400, later renamed Guohe One, is a Chinese Generation III+ pressurized water reactor design developed by the State Power Investment Corporation. It is based on the Westinghouse AP1000 design but was re-engineered to be held under full Chinese intellectual property rights, part of China's broader effort to develop nuclear reactor designs it can build, license and export independently of the original American design.
