Fast and Breeder Reactors

Reactors that use fast neutrons or make more fissile fuel than they burn, including breeder reactors, sodium-cooled fast reactors, the integral fast reactor and the gas-cooled fast reactor. A technology belongs here when its cited article describes a fast or breeder reactor. These reactors rely on fast neutrons without a moderator, and they can turn fertile material into new fissile fuel, which is why they are studied as a way of using uranium far more completely. A reactor is placed here by the fast or breeding design the cited article describes.
