Electric Age Inventions

Inventions and first demonstrations of the late nineteenth century that made electric power practical, including the incandescent lamp perfected by Thomas Edison, the steam turbine of Charles Parsons and the first wind-generated electricity by James Blyth. A milestone belongs here when its cited article dates an invention or first use of electrical or turbine power to the period of the electric age. It excludes the power stations that used these inventions, which have their own group.
