All Fuel Cell Types

The families of fuel cell that turn the chemical energy of a fuel directly into electricity, including proton exchange membrane, alkaline, direct methanol, borohydride, direct carbon, solid acid, microbial and regenerative cells. A technology belongs here when its cited article describes a fuel cell or a type of one. Fuel cells combine a fuel with oxygen to make electricity without burning it, and the types here differ in the electrolyte and the fuel, from hydrogen and methanol to carbon and microbes. A technology is placed here when the cited article describes a fuel cell or a named type of one.
