Hornsea Offshore Wind Farm Project

The Hornsea Offshore Wind Farm Project is a phased development program in the North Sea off the Yorkshire coast, led by Danish energy company Orsted, that grew from an initial zone identified under the UK's Round 3 offshore wind leasing process. Hornsea One, completed in 2019 at 1,218 MW, was the world's first offshore wind farm to exceed 1,000 MW; Hornsea Two followed in 2022 at 1,320 MW, briefly the world's largest single operating offshore wind farm. Later phases, Hornsea Three and Four, extend the program's ambitions further, together representing one of the largest sustained offshore wind development efforts anywhere.
