Jamnagar Refinery is an oil refining complex at Motikhavdi in Jamnagar district, Gujarat, India, owned and operated by Reliance Industries Limited. It was commissioned in July 1999 with an initial capacity of 668,000 barrels a day and has since been expanded to about 1,240,000 barrels a day, making it the largest oil refinery in the world. Its high complexity index allows it to process a wide range of crude oil grades, though the facility has also been identified as the largest single greenhouse gas emitter among the world's refineries.
