A binational hydroelectric dam on the Parana River shared by Brazil and Paraguay, generating since 1984 with 14,000 megawatts of installed capacity. For decades it traded the title of most productive power station on Earth with the Three Gorges Dam, and it supplies the large majority of Paraguayan electricity.
