National Energy Initiative

Large, multi-technology national or multinational programs to transform a country's or region's energy system, rather than a single physical plant or line, including a country's coordinated shift toward renewable generation or a multinational scheme to import solar power across a continent. Belongs here: a named policy-driven program spanning multiple energy technologies or sites, run by or on behalf of a government or intergovernmental coalition. Does not belong here: a single dam, pipeline, wind farm, solar park, nuclear plant or grid interconnection, each grouped under its own technology-specific group below even where a national initiative also funds it.
