Patokh Chodiev

Patokh Chodiev, born 1953, is a Belgian-Uzbek businessman who co-founded and became a major shareholder of Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC), a natural resources company operating mineral and gas ventures in Kazakhstan, Africa and Brazil. He and his partners Alexander Mashkevich and Alijan Ibragimov acquired mineral and gas operations as they were privatized in Kazakhstan after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In 2009 ENRC generated a profit of 1.462 billion dollars on a turnover of 3.8 billion dollars. Chodiev was later named in the Panama Papers in connection with offshore companies and dropped off the Forbes list of billionaires in 2020.
