Volker Beckers

Volker Bernd Beckers, born May 22, 1964, is a German business executive who served as group chief executive of RWE npower, one of the United Kingdom's Big Six energy suppliers, from January 2010 to November 2012, after five years as the company's group chief financial officer. During his tenure RWE npower completed two gas-fired power stations, Staythorpe and Pembroke, and he oversaw the sale of Horizon Nuclear Power. He was later appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire and holds an MBA from the University of Cologne.
