Liquid fuels and blending components made from biomass feedstocks, consumed mostly as blends with gasoline, diesel, heating oil and jet fuel. Ethanol from fermented crops is much the largest, holding 82 percent of United States biofuel production in 2022, with biodiesel and renewable diesel from fats and vegetable oils making up most of the rest.
