Solar Chimney

Heating and Cooling

A solar chimney, sometimes called a thermal chimney, improves a building's natural ventilation by using convection to move air heated by passive solar energy. In its simplest form it is a vertical shaft that uses solar energy to strengthen the natural stack effect that draws air through a building.
