Geothermal Energy

Also Known As Geothermal Power
Renewable
Heat Through Earth Layers

Heat drawn from within the Earth, used directly for bathing and heating since antiquity and for electricity since the first geothermal generator ran at Larderello, Italy, in 1904. Geothermal power is steady rather than variable, but commercially usable high-temperature fields are concentrated in volcanically active regions such as Italy, Iceland, New Zealand, and the western United States.
