Steffturbine

Hydropower Turbine

The Steffturbine is a turbine for generating electrical energy using hydropower, its functioning and performance proven by scientific investigations carried out by Ivo Baselt as part of his dissertation. It is suited to use in micro or small hydroelectric power stations and can be operated as a modular system, with individual modules deployable at heads of between 3 and 5 metres and maximum flow rates of 0.5 cubic metres per second to generate up to 10 kilowatts of electric power. The Steffturbine was developed by Walter Reist Holding AG and is marketed as a complete system including its generator and control electronics.
